STARLIGHT FROM STARWOOD…
Starwood continues its accelerated investments, works in order to introduce all new trends in the world to our citizens and targets to supply new products to the market as domestic products.

With manufacturing STARLIGHT Light board in the dimensions of 420 x 210 cm, Starwood is going to be world's second manufacturer. On the other hand, this will be unique experience for the Turkish market with our signature.

Before the 1960s, the raw material in furniture industry was soft wood ( death wood ) filled plywood with surface layers of 3 mm, and pressed with another plywood made using urea formaldehyde. Craftsmen used this material as a replacement for massive solid material or they made pressed doors, because furniture production and usage hadn't been common and popular.

In the following years, particleboard entered the market with easy handling and processing features and with the advantage of continuous production. However, in order to serve as an alternative to the particleboard and melamine faced particleboard, which has an usage rate of almost % 90 in the industry, over - thick " light - board " has started to supersede it.

Starwood targets to start producing STARLIGHT Honeycomb Cored Lightboard starting from 12 mm thickness up to 100 mm, with the dimensions of 420 x 210 cm, in order to respond customer demands. Top and bottom panels will be raw MDF from 1,5 mm to 6 mm, raw particleboard from 4 mm to 8 mm or one sided / both sided melamine faced particleboard in the same thicknesses. The special production paper honeycomb, which will be used as a core material, has the required specifications to bear 5 atm ( standart atmospheric pressure ) pressure, if finished board is going to be covered with veneer, finish foly or PVC. It doesn't matter whether its one side melamined or not, STARLIGHT Lightboard never deforms or distorts, because it never twists like one sided melamine faced particleboard or one sided MDF Lam.

Because of being a brand - new, fresh product in the market, at the very beginning it seems to be mandatory to use imported accessories. Nevertheless, domestic manufacturers will begin manufacturing necessary accessories at short notice. By the end of 2007, domestic accessories will be in the market, organization arrangements have begun.
